Onyx Cycle Team Donation of £1070

It was a brilliant and totally unexpected Christmas present to receive a donation of £1,070 from Onyx, a South West London Cycle Racing team https://www.instagram.com/onyxracingteam/?hl=en, for their Christmas raffle at Roehampton Club. Onyx have been great supporters since we set up The Laurie Todd Foundation and are inspiring us to keep going.

James Ratzer wrote ' We were delighted to donate to such a great cause .... I have been very inspired to see everything you have been able to achieve with Laurie's foundation after his sad loss. A real testament to the amazing man he must have been. I'm pleased our donation was just one small part in your ability to hit the research funding target at Kingston. We look forward to continuing to do all we can to support the Foundation in its future goals'.

We have completed the research funding at Kingston. The researchers have been working with the Marsden to expand the number of malignant cell samples from the Oesophagus that they can examine for the presence of HPV.

We are now looking at other aspects of ‘early diagnosis of Oesophageal Cancer’ and are very interested to read about the possible links to ‘genetics’ and are exploring possible projects for us to support.
